We strive to produce working British Labradors that will be an improvement to the breed standard. We do this by focusing on the dams that will help raise your future puppy. Not only are our gundogs rigorously tested for health and temperament, but all breeding females are trained and campaigned in hunt tests prior to breeding. By breeding proven dams to stud dogs that have either been imported or still reside in the United Kingdom our goal is to improve the quality of British Labradors.

As a small kennel, we focus on quality pairings that will produce the very best British Labrador Retrievers who excel in the field and at home. We achieve this through carefully planning each litter. Years of thought and research goes into every puppy. When we decide to breed one of our females, the litter will have an inbreeding co-efficient (COI) that is below the breed standard and have all the genetic tests that are recommended by the Labrador Retriever Club, Inc. All of our dams receive the necessary health clearances to get a “CHIC” number from the Canine Health Information Center. This can be verified by potential clients by searching on the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) website using the "Look up OFA health-tested dogs" feature and typing in Boulder Flat.
